Oh man do I love the color green! When I had red hair I found myself wearing green eye shadow a lot, a very Poison Ivy-esque look. I loved it but of course, it's not something you can exactly wear all the time, or bright and early in the morning. What I love about this look is all the shades of green I've used. It brings your eye to all the different sections of my eye shape and adds a lot of depth to it. Since I went and did a pointy look with the shadow, I went without any eyeliner here as I don't think it was needed, and the green stands out beautifully on it's own. If you're someone who isn't happy with their eye shape, playing with shadows can definitely let you switch things up a bit, making certain parts wider to make others smaller, like I've done here.

I love experimenting with colors. I also believe a smokey, smoldering eye can give any woman a boost of confidence, but it doesn't always need to be in black! I chose this purple becuase it not only compliments the blues in my eyes nicely, but it also goes well with my skin tone. It's perfect for a day look and can easily be changed into an evening look with some false lashes and a hint more of purple. The cat eye liner also adds a little va-va-voom to the whole look as well!

Carlie was celebrating her sweet 16 with a lavish gown and tiara. As for her makeup, I wanted to make sure I didn't out do her dress, but still allowed her to feel pretty and done up. We used a soft pink on her eye lids, followed by a sheer white to tone it down just a dab. After that I added a set of false lashes to bring some more attention to her eyes and a hint of blush to her cheeks. In the end, I believe she looked age appropriate, yet charming and full of life.(Excerpt from Carlie coming soon!)
